As well as my other audio work, I’m also involved in music, both my own and other talented people’s.

Triptych

I play bass in Triptych, and have done since my friends and I were 13 and playing out of our drummer’s garage. We’re significantly more listenable now than we were then, having released our debut album Sundown on Grunge Pop Records in 2022, and our Droste EP in 2025.

Orphis

During the pandemic I took up modular synthesis and occasionally release music that comes out of my system under the Orphis moniker. I’ve termed these noodlings ‘esotronica’, mostly to avoid getting into the weeds of electronic genres.

Recording

The Benbecula Tree, Megalomatic - Assistant Engineer (2020)

In 2020 (mere weeks before the world collapsed), I had the pleasure of assisting with the recording of local Glasgow band Megalomatic’s debut album, The Benbecula Tree. I had a great experience staying with those chaps and assisting with the nuts and bolts of the recording process, comping and editing takes, and offering the occasional bit of creative input.

The first single released in December 2021, with the full album releasing in May 2022.
